Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist II

Job Summary
Review outpatient orders prior to procedures to ensure accuracy and avoid delays. Educate and prepare patients for CT imaging while obtaining and documenting accurate medical histories. Operate CT equipment to capture cross-sectional images by setting appropriate technical parameters and positioning patients with necessary shielding and immobilization devices. Administer contrast dye via IV and power injector when required to enhance imaging. Maintain all imaging equipment and perform diagnostic procedures including digital and mobile imaging as needed. Rotate on-call and shift schedules to support inpatient and outpatient care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree under the completion of a Radiologic Technology program
- Certificate under the completion of CT technology certification program
- Minimum one (1) year Radiologic Technology experience
- Minimum one (1) year CT experience
- Computed Tomography - American Registry Radiologic Technologist or registry eligible (if eligible, CT certification must be obtained within 24 months of hire/transfer date)
- Computed Tomography - South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association
- Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association
- 12 hour shift
