Job Summary
Computed Tomography (CT) - Medical Radiation Technologist XRAY at Brockville General Hospital, Diagnostic Imaging. Responsible for providing safe, quality care in General Radiology and CT, maintaining equipment, following department and organizational policies, and participating in quality and safety initiatives. Possesses effective communication and team-building skills, and collaborates within a clinical team while upholding safety culture and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited training program in Radiological Technology
- Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Knowledge of clinical CMRITO Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
- Must show evidence of clinical competence through continuing education
- Current CPR Certification and maintained throughout employment
- Successful completion of CAMRT�s CT Imaging 1, 2, 3 courses and ability to obtain certification
- Competent in venipuncture and contrast media injections
- Completion of cross sectional anatomy courses
- Work independently performing CT�s
- Effective communication and team building skills
- Desire to learn and collaborate within a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate and interact effectively and positively with patients, physicians and co-workers.
