Job Summary
Sales Specialists & Consultants drive their sales pipeline by creating and capturing leads outside of specialization, collaborating with Account Managers, and using their subject matter expertise to qualify, negotiate, and close opportunities. Specialists maintain knowledge of competitors to position their company's products strategically and may also sell outsourcing deals. Responsibilities include leading pursuit in assigned focus areas, developing quota objectives, and establishing professional relationships with clients, including C-level executives for mid-to-large accounts. Candidates need extensive sector experience and must demonstrate leadership in achieving specialty sales and account retention.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years advanced sales experience required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Project management skills
- Extensive selling experience within industry and on similar products
- Demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quota, diversity of business customer, and higher level customer interface
- 2-3 years of product sales in the desired specialty
