Compute Products Engineer - STACKIT (m/w/d)

Job Summary
Develop and maintain features for STACKIT's compute products, covering generic server capabilities, GPU servers, and confidential computing; contribute upstream to open source projects such as OpenStack and YAOOK, and modify virtualization technology where needed to enable product features; optimize virtual machine performance, including live migration; introduce new generations of machine types and extend the compute product portfolio; evaluate and integrate GPU and confidential computing technologies; requires strong programming skills in Go (Golang) and Python, solid experience with OpenStack in a production environment, strong understanding of Linux virtualization — KVM, QEMU, and libvirt, hands-on experience operating infrastructure at scale, with a focus on reliability and automation, and comfort working close to the metal: kernel behaviour, hypervisor internals, and low-level debugging.
