Job Summary
Design and maintain computational algorithms that process complex datasets, perform geometric and mathematical calculations, and optimize engineering workflows. Develop robust, maintainable software by implementing efficient solutions for spatial and engineering problems, while integrating sensor, operational, and production data into analytical models. Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and domain experts to translate operational challenges into scalable technical solutions and contribute to continuous technical evolution through research and prototyping.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computational Science, Data Science or another related technical field
- Strong programming experience with several languages such as C#, C++, Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript or SQL
- Strong understanding of linear algebra, vector mathematics, geometry, statistics, optimization techniques, numerical methods, computational modelling, data structures and algorithms
- Experience in one or more areas such as computational geometry, scientific computing, operations research, machine learning, simulation systems, signal processing, geospatial analysis or computer vision
- Experience working with relational databases, large datasets, data pipelines, data transformation, APIs and system integrations
- Ability to develop clean, efficient, maintainable and testable code
- Familiarity with version control and collaborative development workflows
- Understanding of software architecture and performance optimization
- Ability to break down complex engineering or operational challenges and translate them into mathematical models, algorithms and practical software solutions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with GIS and geospatial technologies
- Experience with 3D graphics, visualization or CAD applications
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks
- Experience with GPU computing or high-performance computing (HPC)
- Experience with cloud-based data and computational solutions
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development and computational tools
- Previous experience developing software for engineering, mining, industrial or other technically complex environments
- Experience working with spatial, survey, sensor or industrial operational data
