Job Summary
Computational Design Manager to lead the application of Computational Design across all project stages for Grimshaw’s ANZ Design Technology team, developing and implementing computational workflows, advising on automation and AI-enabled workflows, mentoring computational design specialists, coordinating resources across the region, delivering training, and contributing to regional standards, strategy, and tools while collaborating with BIM, Sustainability, CGI, and IT teams. The role emphasizes technical leadership, capability development, and driving innovation and digital transformation in a multinational architectural practice, with base in Melbourne or Sydney and a focus on growing computational design capability across the ANZ region.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience applying Computational Design within professional practice
- A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computational Design, Architectural Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Strong programming skills, including Python and at least one additional language such as C#, JavaScript, or similar
- Experience leading or mentoring small teams and supporting the development of others
- Experience developing standards, frameworks, or best-practice guidance
