Job Summary
Senior Accountant role based in Montreal (Ville Saint-Laurent vicinity) within Nature's Touch, reporting to the Financial Controller. The position emphasizes month-end and year-end close for multiple entities, intercompany reconciliations, journal entries, payroll postings, balance sheet reconciliations, and collaboration with the Mexico finance team. The role also supports external audits, standardization of group accounting policies, data extraction from an EDW for management reporting dashboards, and the use of AI-assisted tools to automate routine accounting tasks. The candidate should have a CPA designation, at least 5 years of accounting experience (including at least 1 year in a senior capacity), proficiency with ERP systems (preferably Dynamics 365), advanced Excel, experience with BI tools, and bilingual English/French capabilities. Occasional travel up to 10% and a hybrid on-site schedule (3 days/week) are expected.
Required Qualifications
- CPA or equivalent recognized accounting designation
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on accounting experience in mid-to-large enterprise environments
- Experience in month-end close activities, reconciliations, financial reporting, and consolidation
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF); experience with EDW and BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Experience in multi-currency environments
- Ability to work with AI tools in a finance or accounting context
- Bilingual: English required; French important
- ERP system proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 or equivalent); ERP implementations or upgrades is an asset
- Detail-oriented, curious, and organized; strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and adapt to changing business needs
