Job Summary
Responsibilities include inspecting and maintaining engines, compressors, and auxiliary equipment; monitoring water/oil levels, temperatures, pressures, and changing charts; assisting in starting/stopping engines and repairing station equipment; operating space heating, boilers, cooling fans, and pumps; reporting pressures and volumes to Gas Control; performing minor to major repairs and general maintenance; maintaining records, operating computerized station controls, and following safety procedures; ability to lift, climb, crawl, and work in confined spaces; overtime and callouts may be required. Requires three months of mechanical experience, documented computer skills, and a valid driver’s license. High school diploma or GED preferred. Required Qualifications
- Three months documented mechanical experience in any combination of industrial equipment, compressors, pumps, electrical motors, controls circuitry, engines AND/OR natural gas reciprocating/combustion/turbine engines AND/OR related natural gas industry experience AND/OR related military experience AND/OR the equivalent related education (technical school or college)
- Documented computer skills
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- Operate equipment and tools weighing up to 90 pounds; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; climb ladders; work from elevated surfaces; crawl, stoop, and work in confined spaces; willingness to work overtime and be exposed to hazards and environmental conditions
