Job Summary
The 3rd shift Compression Operator sets up and operates the compression machine per batch records and SOPs to ensure compliant, high-quality tablet production. Responsibilities include making machine adjustments during runs, performing in-process checks (average weight, thickness, hardness, friability, and tablet weight), visually inspecting the press, conducting minor and major cleanings of compression rooms, verifying BR entries, maintaining calibration and weighing scales, ensuring cleanliness of the compression area, identifying tablet defects (sticking, chipping, capping), reviewing batch records for accuracy, properly identifying and segregating rejected tablets, and communicating issues to a supervisor. The role requires maintaining online documentation for compression operations, following cGMP and FDA guidelines, and working in a drug-free environment. Required Qualifications
- 1 year or more operating a capsule machine in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to read/write English
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours
- Must be able to climb a three-step ladder/step stool while lifting a scoop with 8 lbs. of powder
