Job Summary
Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests on CNG compressors to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues. Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, and tuning CNG engines, while handling complex repairs on the fuel system and engine components. Install, repair, and maintain CNG fuel systems, storage tanks, regulators, and pressure gauges. Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and regulatory requirements by performing emissions tests and adhering to strict safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and test results. Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and recommend upgrades to enhance performance and safety.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment and parts regularly
- Experience performing alignments
- Formal education or technical training in automotive mechanics or a related field
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of CNG fuel systems, engine components, and vehicle electronics
- Familiarity with safety regulations and guidelines related to CNG compressors
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and interpret diagnostic codes
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle various tasks in a mechanical environment
Desired Qualifications
- Specialized training in CNG systems and technologies is highly desirable
- Experience in automotive repair shops, gas stations, or fleet maintenance facilities is an advantage
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
