Job Summary

Provide comprehensive ophthalmologic evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients. Diagnose and manage common and complex ophthalmic conditions, perform cataract surgery, and oversee preoperative and postoperative care. Maintain an approximately 80% clinic and 20% operating-room practice mix while utilizing advanced diagnostic and surgical technologies. Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and nurses to develop individualized treatment plans, educate patients, and maintain accurate medical documentation. Participate in quality-improvement initiatives and pursue leadership opportunities within this physician-led group.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Successful completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
  • Current California physician licensure or eligibility to obtain California licensure
  • Demonstrated competency in comprehensive/general ophthalmology
  • Training and clinical competency in cataract surgery
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a physician-led multidisciplinary environment
  • Commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and high-quality ophthalmologic care
  • Comfortable maintaining a primarily clinical practice with a consistent surgical component
  • Demonstrates strong diagnostic, procedural, patient-care, and communication capabilities
  • Values a collaborative physician-led practice environment
  • Is interested in establishing a stable, long-term practice in California
  • Meets all core clinical and professional requirements
