Compounding Technician I (1:30 pm-10 pm)

Job Summary
Utilize scales, balances, and load cells to weigh materials and perform batch additions of raw materials in accordance with SOPs. Conduct aseptic filtration setup and filter integrity testing while performing mass/concentration calculations to determine batch dosing. Execute sterile compounding, filtration, and sterilization of small and large equipment, including line clearances and tear-down procedures. Gather, stage, and return production materials and supplies to support manufacturing activities while maintaining Class 100 certification and cleanroom gowning standards. Assist in blending, mixing, and homogenization processes under direct supervision of Senior Manufacturing Team Members.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to read documents in Standard English such as Standard Operating Procedures, maintenance schedules and operating manuals
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to maintain a clean-shaven appearance each working shift
- Ability to work in an environment where chemicals are handled and dispensed daily
- Excellent chemical handling and mathematical aptitude
- Ability to assemble, troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on manufacturing equipment
- Ability to meet and maintain Class 100 Certification for sterile compounding/transfer (Hilliard facility)
- Ability to maintain cleanroom gowning and respirator fit testing requirements
- Ability to take feedback constructively
- Ability to function in a team-oriented work environment
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in chemistry or other science field
- 1-3 years related field work experience
- Experience with manufacturing technology such as HMI-PLC/SCADA controlled Isolation Barrier, Autoclave Sterilization, CIP Sanitization and SIP Sterilization
