Job Summary
Compounding Technician I works under a licensed Pharmacist in a clean room, spending at least 50% of time on medication compounding to ensure accurate and smooth operations. Responsibilities include assisting with prescription compounding, preparation, and processing; accurate labeling and packaging; basic pharmaceutical calculations for correct dosages; contributing to medication incident reporting; maintaining cleanliness of surfaces and laminar flow hoods; inspecting equipment and logging temperature and cleaning records. Requires excellent organizational skills, ability to perform basic to intermediate calculations, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic customer service to internal and external customers is expected, along with adherence to state regulations and standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
- Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state)
