Job Summary
Assist the pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with OCH policies, state regulations, and standards. Accurately label and package compounded medications while performing basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages. Maintain clean room standards by ensuring surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized, and inspect equipment for failures. Document pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs, and participate in assessing and reporting medication-related incidents. Requires a high school diploma, one year of pharmacy technician experience, and basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Salary range is $26.11 to $41.49.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
- Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state)
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Able to perform basic & intermediate level mathematical calculations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Word
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel
- Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching
- Ability to carry at least 30lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Successful enrollment and completion of the OCH designated training course within 6 months of hire (if licensure and/or training course is required by the state)
