Job Summary
Assist pharmacist with preparation, dispensing, and labeling of compounded medications while performing basic pharmaceutical calculations. Ensure pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized, and inspect equipment to document any failures. Maintain accurate records for pharmacy temperatures and cleaning logs, and participate in assessing and reporting medication-related incidents. Requires high school diploma, one year of pharmacy technician experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
- Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state)
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Able to perform basic & intermediate level mathematical calculations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Word
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel
- Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching
- Ability to carry at least 30lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Successful enrollment and completion of the OCH designated training course within 6 months of hire (if licensure and/or training course is required by the state)
