Job Summary
Assist the pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with OCH policies, state regulations, and standards. Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages, accurately label and package medications, and participate in assessing and reporting medication-related incidents. Ensure pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized, inspect equipment for defects, and maintain temperature and cleaning logs. This role requires a high school diploma, one year of pharmacy technician experience, and basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The position supports Option Care Health's mission to provide extraordinary care across the nation's largest home infusion network.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
- Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state)
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Able to perform basic & intermediate level mathematical calculations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Word
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel
- Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching
- Ability to carry at least 30lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Successful enrollment and completion of the OCH designated training course within 6 months of hire (if licensure and/or training course is required by the state)
