Job Summary
Guarantee traceability and quality of compound samples with consistent accuracy for liquid and powder formulations. Assist in raw material evaluation for organoleptic quality, support flavor creation, and maintain sample KPIs through prioritized task management and strict laboratory protocols. Check stock levels, replenish as needed, and pack/ship samples using logistical IT systems while completing customs document filings. Participate in sensory panels and uphold a professional working relationship with team members. Requires onsite presence five days per week; no prior experience necessary but laboratory experience and knowledge of health and safety are advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- A Scientific background
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including percentage calculations and conversion between imperial and metric units of measure
- Minimum of High school education or GED
- An ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods
- Must be able to occasionally lift up-to 25lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree
- Any laboratory experience
- Knowledge in health and safety
- Ability to sample from production (Raw materials and final product)
- Liquid and powder flavor compounding experience
- Spray dry equipment usage and cleaning
- Dangerous goods carriage certificate
- Logistics experience
- Understanding and knowledge of shipment process
