Job Summary
Weigh and measure chemicals in proper amounts following formulas, then verify pre-weighed materials before use. Execute batching instructions from the R&D department while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures, regulatory practices, and company policies. Pump products between storage vessels and tanks, complete paperwork, and perform housekeeping and cleaning duties. Maintain batch and process step completion accuracy, reducing errors per gallon below established trends. Operate RF scanners and AS400 systems, and work onsite during the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift with applicable premiums. Maintain a good attendance record and pass an on-site work skills test.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Post-secondary education in chemistry.
- 1 year of compounding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow written directions exactly.
- Proven ability to use weights and measures accurately.
- Understanding of chemical properties.
- Ability to comprehend regulatory standards and company policies and procedures.
- Ability to organize priorities.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English competently.
- Ability to pass an on-site work skills test
- Ability to maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Ability to work on-site.
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced math skills (preferred).
- Ability to operate a stand-up forklift (preferred).
- Experience with RF scanners (preferred).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (preferred).
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to analyze minor mechanical problems and resolve them (preferred).
- Intermediate reading and writing skills (preferred).
