Job Summary
Bond dissimilar material assemblies into finished products by laying out articles, cutting parts, and applying bonding agents. Operate autoclaves, hydraulic presses, and ovens to complete bonding cycles while controlling heat, pressure, and timing per specifications. Sand, burr, and smooth surfaces; apply sealing resins to exposed edges. Monitor and verify product quality, then complete repairs on composite, metal, or laminate bonded items using inspection instructions. Requires high school diploma, six years of relevant experience, ability to read BOMs and drawings, and eligibility for a security clearance. Schedule includes a 9/80 rotation with flexible start times between 5:30am and 7am.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Ability to read BOM (bill of materials) and assembly drawings
- Previous experience working with composites
- Ability to obtain and maintain a future Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
- Flexible schedule availability (between 5:30am-7am)
- 9/80 schedule availability (9 out of every 14 days)
- 9 hour shift availability
- San Leandro, CA location availability
- 100% onsite availability
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in straightforward situations
