Composite Finishing Lead

Job Summary
Finishing Lead to assist the Production Supervisor in organizing and maintaining production within the Finishing Department (trimming, bonding, mold making, pattern preparation). Lead will train and mentor Finishing Technicians, supervise in the absence of the Finishing Manager, ensure adherence to quality standards and safety, support inventory control and waste reduction, conduct final inspections and quality control tests (e.g., pressure testing), and participate in daily production meetings. Responsible for PPE compliance, housekeeping, and enforcing procedures to promote continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Requires at least five years in composite manufacturing, a high school diploma or GED, and ability to read blueprints/drawings; US Citizenship or LPR status required per ITAR/EAR.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in composite manufacturing
- Minimum high school diploma or GED required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Positive, “can-do” attitude with the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in challenging situations
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet production deadlines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings
- Must be able to use small hand tools, including sanders, rivet guns, drills, manual routers, adhesive applicators, calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices
- Availability as needed to meet production requirements and timelines
- Due to ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status
