Job Summary
Perform composite lay-up operations using prep-reg materials, hand lay-up, and resin transfer moulding (RTM). Operate autoclave, oven curing, and vacuum bagging systems to fabricate high-quality composite structures for Large fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles. Trim, machine, and finish components to engineering specifications while conducting dimensional inspections and quality checks. Maintain detailed production records and collaborate with the engineering team on process improvements and troubleshooting. Requires 2+ years of experience in composite manufacturing and knowledge of carbon fibre and fibreglass. Full-time position at IIT Kanpur/Greater Noida with competitive compensation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in composite manufacturing
- Knowledge of carbon fibre, fibreglass, and advanced composite materials
- Experience with autoclave operations and vacuum bagging techniques
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality consciousness
Desired Qualifications
- Aerospace or defence industry experience
- Certification in composite manufacturing processes
- Experience with NDT inspection methods
- Knowledge of AS9100 or similar quality systems
- Experience with UAVs or aircraft structures
