Job Summary
Component Shop Technician needed to overhaul and repair aircraft components, perform NDT inspections, calibrate tooling, maintain batteries, and support fleet maintenance in a shop setting with occasional on-aircraft or field work. Responsibilities include inspection, testing and calibration of tooling and instruments, NDT inspections (MPI/LPI/ET/UT), recertification of avionics, battery maintenance, promoting safe work practices, team collaboration, documentation, and staying current with maintenance memos and CARs. Required skills include mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, use of precision measuring equipment, ability to read technical drawings, proficiency with hand/power tools, and strong technical English communication. Asset qualifications include NDT experience, avionics/electrical experience, and AME license; completion of approved aviation trade school is an asset.
