Job Summary
Component Owner for SDS camera components in Volkswagen MOIA autonomous driving hardware team. Own end-to-end ownership from concept to SOP, including sensor layout and vehicle integration using Catia V5, cross-functional interface alignment, and lead of Tier-1 supplier activities. Responsible for technical maturity, timing, cost, and deliverables across development milestones; lead validation planning and vehicle integration tests; approve supplier test plans and CAPAs; create and maintain specifications, verification plans, and release documentation. Requires university degree in electronics/engineering, automotive industry experience, strong knowledge of PEP/ASPICE, ISO 26262, SOTIF, and Catia V5, plus bilingual German/English communication. Hybrid work setup with potential remote work from outside Germany up to 6 weeks/year; relocation support available.
Required Qualifications
- A university degree in electronics, engineering or similar
- Profound experience in automotive hardware and software development lifecycles
- Experience with component responsibility (BTV) activities including requirement engineering, testing, project management and release procedures
- Strong knowledge of OEM development processes such as PEP, ASPICE and corporate release procedures
- Advanced hands-on knowledge of CAD tools, especially Catia V5 (Siemens Teamcenter preferred)
- Understanding of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and SOTIF
- Capability to navigate supplier development, reporting and approval systems to lead internal release processes
- Fluent German and English communication skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional reviews and manage supplier testing and validation
