Job Summary
Component Exchange Specialist in Kamloops, BC: assembling/disassembling engines and powertrains (oil pans, manifolds, fuel rails, filters, regulator housings, oil coolers, after coolers, and housing components) and supporting disassembly/reassembly within welding scopes. Responsibilities include precision measuring, parts salvage, utilizing Caterpillar SIS and ET daily, completing technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes), and interacting with internal/external customers. Works with Service Supervisor and Leadhand on tasks. Qualifications favor journeyperson; safety-conscious team player with strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and high attention to detail. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Kamloops with a 7x7 continuous shift; union environment; company offers benefits, pension, shares, paid training, and CAT-certified training. Required Qualifications
- Journeyperson Ticket considered an asset
- Safety conscious
- excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- high attention to detail
- Experience with Caterpillar general line products would be asset
- Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be asset
- Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be asset
- Previous engine and power generation experience would be asset
