Job Summary
Component Engineer at Rockwell Automation leading insourcing initiatives and cost-savings with cross-functional teams to influence material choices, qualify new technologies, and drive component solutions for wire, connectors, wire harnesses, and electromechanical parts. Partners with global sourcing and fabrication to qualify alternate materials, review changes for certification impacts, and develop qualification plans. Drives cost and productivity improvements through high-value, low-cost component strategies, standardization, and common architectures; leverages advanced tools including AI to accelerate development. Role includes travel (10%) with a hybrid work schedule in Mayfield Heights, OH or Milwaukee, WI and reporting to the Manager, Component Engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
