Job Summary
Set up complimentary breakfast areas, pull inventory, and polish glassware while greeting guests and ensuring lounge access. Serve food and beverages in an appetizing manner, then clean stations, sweep patios, and manage trash removal. Break down areas, return dirty dishes to the kitchen, restock supplies, and start dishwashers. Maintain high standards by following safety protocols, reporting hazards, and assisting with guest inquiries. Work varied shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 Year previous customer service experience
- Must be able to obtain and provide Food Handlers card
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process
- Must be available to work a varied schedule that may include evenings nights weekends and holidays
- Must have thorough knowledge of hotel products and guest services
- Possess a basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation service standards guest relations and etiquette
- Ability to perform numerical operations using basic counting adding subtracting multiplying and dividing
- Ability to read comprehend and write simple instructions and/or short correspondence and memos
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff some of whom will require high levels of patience tact and diplomacy
- Must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F)
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four (4) hours
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space
- Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
- Ability to work primarily with fingers to pick, pinch, type and carry out substantial movements (motions) of the wrists and hands
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks occasionally
- Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Azul Hospitality standards
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards
- Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required
