Job Summary
Greet and seat guests at the complimentary breakfast area, ensuring high standards of personal appearance and service orientation. Maintain regular attendance and perform opening, closing, and side work duties including resetting tables, stocking bar areas, and cleaning floors and equipment. Service guests with all food and beverage requirements, answer telephone inquiries, and handle cashiering functions for closing checks. Work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays while complying with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings nights weekends and holidays
- Must meet the legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
- Must satisfactorily pass responsible serving course such as TIPs as required by property
- Must be able to obtain and provide Food Handlers card as required by city/county/state
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm professional manner
- Understanding of hotel products and guest services
- Possess a basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation service standards guest relations and etiquette
- Ability to produce high quality drinks including but not limited to specialty coffee and tea drinks specialty cocktails and beverage requests as required by hotel
- Ability to perform numerical operations using basic counting adding subtracting multiplying and dividing
- Ability to read comprehend and write simple instructions and/or short correspondence and memos
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff some of whom will require high levels of patience tact and diplomacy
