Job Summary
Conduct site assessments, surveys, and inspections of underground and aboveground storage tank systems to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Perform leak testing, site assessments, and maintenance/repair on fueling equipment including dispensers, pumps, controllers, and point-of-sale systems while traveling to customer sites daily, including multi-state travel with overnight stays. Enter and analyze test results using company software, manage vehicle inventory, and document inspection findings to report non-compliance issues. Assist in troubleshooting compliance problems, follow all safety protocols, and complete required OEM certifications. Maintain accurate records of all activities and communicate effectively with site personnel and regulatory agencies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic understanding of UST/AST systems and regulatory requirements
- Basic computer skills for data entry and use of company compliance testing software
- Ability to distinguish various colors of UST tank top components
- Strong customer service orientation
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel to different sites daily, including multi-state travel with overnight stays
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must pass a DOT physical
- Must pass a motor vehicle records (MVR) check
- Must live within a reasonable commuting distance (e.g., 60 minutes) of the assigned location
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in petroleum equipment service, maintenance, or UST/AST compliance
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in trades such as HVAC, plumbing, mechanics, electrical work, carpentry, or cable installation
