Job Summary
Develop and own Relay's compliance monitoring program end-to-end, designing testing methodologies, monitoring schedules, and reporting frameworks to ensure products meet regulatory requirements. Manage the day-to-day partnership with the sponsor bank as the primary contact for compliance matters, exams, and audits. Analyze account and transaction data to identify gaps and emerging risks, then execute ongoing testing, document findings, and produce clear reports for internal stakeholders and the bank. Track issues through remediation, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and validated. Partner with Risk, Product, Engineering, and Operations to embed compliance requirements into new features, and monitor regulatory changes to update controls. Translate complex findings into actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical teams.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in compliance, risk, audit, or a related field
- experience building or running a compliance monitoring or testing program
- proficiency in SQL (joins, aggregations, window functions, subqueries)
- comfortable working directly with a bank partner or regulator

Desired Qualifications
- preferably in fintech, banking, or payments
- experience managing a sponsor bank or regulatory partnership directly
- worked in a startup or scale-up environment
