Job Summary
Monitor and document compliance activities including move-ins, initial certifications, annual re-certifications, and interim certifications per outlined procedures. Process annual recertifications and inspections by reviewing schedules, communicating daily with the VP of Compliance, and ensuring timely completion of all filings. Assist with application verifications, preparing certification notices, interviewing households, and verifying tenant income data. Coordinate with affordable communities to provide training on required procedures and advise on-site personnel regarding file reviews for admission and continuation. Monitor Section 8 paperwork and correspondence, prepare income certification forms and calculation worksheets, and obtain utility allowance updates quarterly. Ensure sensitive data security, create accurate documentation, and conduct business in accordance with Fair Housing, ADA, and FCRA laws while staying current on IRS regulations and housing program changes.
Required Qualifications
- experience dealing with different state programs and agencies such as AZ, CO, TX, NY, & PA
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or similar field
- 1+ years of residential leasing and/or management experience
- Low Income Housing Tax Credits or Section 8 Income experience
- ability to read and write English fluently
- Professional level written and oral communication skills
- Solid computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office Suite to include Teams, Word, and Excel
- valid driver's license
- current automobile insurance
- reliable transportation
