Job Summary
The Special Populations Compliance Specialist will manage a caseload of students and ensure compliance with regulations governing IEPs, 504 plans, and Emergent Bilingual (EB) procedures. Responsibilities include scheduling, preparing, and leading ARD meetings, 504 meetings, and LPAC meetings for a caseload of students in Special Populations; completing Special Populations paperwork (IEPs, 504 Plans, LPAC documentation); monitoring and supporting teammates in completing portions of student IEPs and feedback forms; ensuring federal/state timelines for ARD, 504, and LPAC activities; coordinating Home Language Survey collection and review, parent consent forms, and EB program placement; producing lists, forms, reports, and data submissions required by Special Education, 504, and EB programs; performing PEIMS data entries and revisions; maintaining progress reporting and parent communication documentation; collaborating with school teams, Home Office teams, parents/guardians, and external agencies to maintain thorough student documentation; proactively identifying compliance risks; attending relevant professional development; and performing additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
- At least two years of relevant work experience as a Special Education Teacher, interventionist, Bilingual or ESL teacher, or other relevant Special Populations campus or district role
