Job Summary
Compliance Specialist ensures InfuSystem adheres to federal, state, and local laws, maintains and acquires licenses, conducts internal audits, and manages compliance documentation. Responsibilities include renewing licenses (state Boards of Pharmacy, HME/wholesale licenses, DRICs), monitoring licensing changes, coordinating with executives for personal information, maintaining confidentiality, meeting renewal dates, reporting changes to boards, managing Surety Bonds, coordinating with DRICs, ensuring license integrity (PECOS, OIG, SAM), serving as document control administrator for CHAP/HIPAA/IT Security policies and related materials, assisting with patient complaints and audits, and supporting the Compliance Supervisor. The role emphasizes organization, problem solving, teamwork, strategic thinking, and ongoing regulatory knowledge in a healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree; 2-4 years in regulatory position; healthcare field experience required; experience with healthcare accreditation preferred; strong organizational and communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to manage licenses, renewals, and regulatory submissions; knowledge of HIPAA, CHAP, and accreditation processes; ability to conduct internal audits and maintain documentation; willingness to work with executives and cross-functional teams; attention to confidentiality and accuracy; no travel requirements specified
