Job Summary
Compliance Support Specialist who proactively enforces import standards and procedures for Expeditors’ brokerage operations. Responsible for monitoring performance metrics, guiding the Brokerage team on system usage, ensuring compliance with CHQ/IDMA processes, reviewing POAs and customs documentation, overseeing bond applications/renewals, managing inquiries with CBP/CEE, delivering import compliance trainings (Brokerage Boot Camp), and maintaining cross-functional collaboration to drive efficiency and regulatory adherence. Requires strong knowledge of import processes, HTSUSA/19 CFR, and the ability to communicate effectively with government agencies, customers, and internal teams. Bachelors in Business Administration or related field preferred; 3+ years’ import brokerage experience; bilingual in English and Spanish advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in import brokerage
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (Preferred)
- Import Clearance Specialist Certifications, preferred
- Customs Broker license (U.S.) or similar non-U.S. country license, preferred
- Familiar with Expeditors’ system (CFIT) and required tools
- English and Spanish fluency, written and verbal
