Job Summary
Support the organization's compliance program by assisting with incident reporting, documentation review, classification support, and closure of reported incidents. Maintain accurate compliance documentation related to investigations, regulatory submissions, and internal follow-up activities while coordinating with clinical supervisors, program leaders, human resources, and quality improvement teams to track assigned follow-up items and support timely resolution. Assist with various compliance committee activities, including preparing materials, tracking policy review status, and maintaining policy governance records. Draft, format, revise, and communicate policies and procedures in partnership with compliance, clinical, administrative, billing, operations, and leadership teams. Monitor applicable regulatory, accreditation, and program requirements, including OhioDBH, CARF, HRSA, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and related standards under the guidance of compliance leadership. Prepare and maintain reference documents, tracking logs, and communications related to incident reporting, compliance expectations, policy updates, and implementation requirements. Travel within designated service areas.
Required Qualifications
- A high school degree or GED equivalent
- A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, social work, nursing, human services, business administration, or a related field
- 2 years of experience in healthcare compliance, quality assurance, policy administration, healthcare operations, behavioral health, community health, or a related administrative function
- Ability to organize information, maintain accurate records, track deadlines, and prepare clear summaries or reports for internal review
- Advanced attention to detail, organization, documentation accuracy, and follow-through
- Ability to learn and apply regulatory, accreditation, privacy, and organizational policy requirements
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, competing priorities, and confidential information with professionalism
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with clinical, administrative, and leadership stakeholders
- Ability to gather information, track action items, maintain organized records, and prepare clear documentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, electronic documentation systems, and data tracking tools
- Ability to adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and requirements
- Knowledge of Medicaid regulations and compliance requirements
- Access to reliable transportation
- A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle
- An appropriate level of auto insurance coverage
- Ability to manage deadlines within a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment
- Ability to maintain a high-speed internet connection
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Desired Qualifications
- A master's degree in healthcare administration, public health, social work, nursing, law, or a related field
- Healthcare compliance certification, such as CHC, CHPC, CPCO, or a comparable credential
- Certification of quality improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or PDSA
- Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, community health, FQHC, integrated care, or a nonprofit healthcare setting
- Experience supporting documentation review, data tracking, follow-up processes, committee coordination, audits, or quality improvement activities
- Experience using incident reporting systems, policy management tools, electronic health records, or compliance tracking systems
- Familiarity with incident reporting, policy and procedure management, regulatory documentation, or healthcare compliance processes
- Basic understanding of behavioral health, healthcare, regulatory, privacy, or accreditation requirements, such as OhioDBH, CARF, HRSA, HIPAA, or 42 CFR Part 2
