Job Summary
Compliance Specialist I responsible for fact-finding investigations of suspected fraud related to Workforce Solutions financial aid recipients and vendors. Core duties include developing and implementing investigation plans, collecting facts, locating and interviewing suspects, reviewing overpayments, analyzing records to uncover suspected violations, gathering and reporting evidence (statements, affidavits), and testifying in court upon request by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). Maintains up-to-date documentation of operations, interacts professionally with citizens, Workforce Solutions staff, vendors, and officials, and provides technical assistance on compliance-related processes. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and at least two years of investigative experience in the public service sector.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred
- Minimum of two years experience in conducting investigations in the public service sector.
