Job Summary
Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist responsible for reviewing LIHTC-affiliated resident files for eligibility and compliance with applicable laws, monitoring changes in LIHTC regulations, attending HCCP-related trainings, and supporting tax credit reviews. Travel ~50% to properties, conferences, and trainings; role emphasizes regulatory compliance, accuracy in file reviews, and coordination with external entities. Proficiency with RealPage Onesite Tax Credit software and strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are essential; Housing Credit Certified Professional certification is a plus, with requirement to complete HCCP training within the first two years if not already certified.
Required Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Strong computer literacy
- Experience with RealPage Onesite Tax Credit software
- Housing Credit Certified Professional certification a plus
- If not certified, requirement to attend HCCP training within first 2 years and include a passing score on the exam
- Knowledge of the HUD program is a plus
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Travel approximately 50% of work time annually
- Primarily remote work with travel to assigned properties
