Job Summary
Assist taxpayers in resolving delinquent business or individual accounts by correcting tax liabilities and filing issues. Answer taxpayer questions regarding Nebraska regulations, statutes, forms, refunds, and licensing permits while utilizing collection procedures and independent judgment. Apply knowledge of tax laws, accounting, and business operations to interpret policies and determine compliance status. Communicate clearly to express ideas and negotiate solutions with diverse backgrounds. This in-office role offers a flexible schedule with no on-call shifts, nights, or weekend hours. The Nebraska Department of Revenue provides on-the-job training, advancement opportunities, and benefits including 13 paid holidays and retirement contributions.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in business
- two years of experience with tax return preparation
