Job Summary
Compliance Officer role based in West Auckland with an Albany office for Auckland Council. Responsible for multi-disciplinary compliance services including investigations, breach resolution, remediation activities, and enforcement actions under the Resource Management Act, Building Act, and relevant bylaws. Requires ability to assess situations, advise customers, negotiate, de-escalate conflicts, and translate legislative requirements for the community. Field-based with some office work, may involve after-hours work. Ideal candidate has regulatory/government experience, strong communication, and a tertiary qualification in a related field; a current NZ driver’s license is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Compliance, Risk Management, Law, or Resource Management
- At least two years' experience in regulatory or government settings
- Current New Zealand driver’s license
