Job Summary
Compliance Officer (Senior Associate) responsible for advising the business on regulatory topics and internal policies, developing and maintaining compliance programs, conducting regular audits and assessments, monitoring regulatory changes, providing training to employees, investigating issues, and coordinating with legal/regulatory bodies. The role includes reporting to governance committees and senior management, and supporting risk mitigation and regulatory exams in the German retail banking space.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in law, business, economics or another relevant area
- 3+ years’ experience in Compliance with a focus on Retail Banking Industry
- Experience in drafting compliance policies and procedures, manuals, alerts and updates
- Fluent in German and English
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
