Job Summary
Monitor and facilitate compliance with federal, state, and System research security governing standards, including laws, regulations, statutes, codes, policies, procedures, rules, and directives. Assist in developing, establishing, and maintaining an effective compliance program based on ethical conduct. Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and develop action plans to bring non-compliant areas into alignment. Recommend program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations. Assist with research security related training and subject matter expert review requests. This security-sensitive position requires a U.S. citizen and involves obtaining a U.S. government security clearance. The role supports the Texas A&M University System Offices, which oversees a network of 12 universities, a health science center, and state agencies across Texas.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Four years of related experience
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
- U.S. citizens only
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective problem solver
- Demonstrated experience in a complex, system-level organization
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
