Job Summary
Compliance Officer for Hospice: lead regulatory and compliance program, ensuring CMS Conditions of Participation, state licensure, payer and accreditation standards are met; partner with executive leadership, clinical teams, and operational departments; develop and monitor corrective actions, support survey readiness, and drive QAPI integration through training, documentation reviews, audits, and policy development.
Required Qualifications
- RN license or equivalent nursing license
- BSN preferred
- Minimum 5 years of hospice leadership, compliance, quality, or regulatory experience
- Strong knowledge of Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation
- State hospice licensure regulations
- Accrediting body standards (CHAP)
- Hospice billing and documentation requirements
- QAPI and survey readiness processes
- Experience managing or supporting hospice surveys and plans of correction
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with executive leadership and interdisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in policy development, auditing, and regulatory interpretation
