Job Summary
Compliance Officer roles across CME teams at the EPA, based in Wellington. The role involves carrying out compliance activities across regulatory mandates, providing technical and procedural advice, maintaining relationships with regulated parties, triaging non-compliances, supporting inspections (including offshore platforms) and contributing to system-level regulatory behaviour-change projects. The team focuses on ensuring compliance across a range of activities, with emphasis on health and safety, and may involve project work, training delivery, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. The position supports flexible working arrangements but is not designed for full-time remote work, and relocation assistance is available for those moving to New Zealand. The role requires experience in regulatory compliance, monitoring or enforcement, strong communication of complex information, data analysis to identify non-compliance, and judgement under pressure.
