Job Summary
Compliance Officer - Brazil responsible for regulatory alignment across the organization, managing AML/KYC programs, supervising the application of controls, identifying and mitigating non-compliance risks, and maintaining internal and external reporting. Key activities include maintaining the compliance obligations repository, advising across teams, delivering training and awareness initiatives, monitoring regulatory developments (including Financial Crime), preparing annual internal-control self-assessments, and supporting risk management and incident tracking in a fintech environment. Fluency in English and a track record of leading high-performing teams are required; the role offers flexible schedules and hybrid collaboration with in-person hubs as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field—or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience in AML, Transaction Monitoring, and KYC, ideally in a fintech or financial services environment
- Proven experience working with regulatory bodies and managing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
- Strong understanding of the financial crime regulatory landscape
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Fluent in English
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
