Job Summary
Senior Compliance Manager responsible for monitoring UK/EU regulatory developments, maintaining the regulatory register, translating legislative changes into practical guidance, and embedding data protection practices across AVK. The role emphasizes external regulatory landscape oversight, stakeholder engagement, GDPR monitoring, training delivery, risk reporting, and cross-divisional collaboration in a senior individual contributor capacity. The position supports flexible/hybrid working in Maidenhead, UK, and requires strong regulatory knowledge and communication skills to influence at all levels.
Required Qualifications
- Essential: Strong working knowledge of UK and EU regulatory frameworks applicable to AVK’s business activities.
- Essential: Experience in a technically complex or regulated industry such as engineering, energy, construction or power systems.
- Essential: Working knowledge of UK & EU GDPR and their operational application in a business environment.
- Essential: Proven ability to monitor and interpret legislation and translate it into clear, actionable guidance for stakeholders.
- Essential: Experience working directly with various stakeholders to implement compliance requirements.
- Essential: Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, confident engaging at all levels from site teams to senior leadership.
- Essential: Experienced in designing and delivering compliance training and awareness programmes.
- Essential: Self-motivated, able to work autonomously and manage competing priorities without close supervision.
