Job Summary
Compliance Manager will establish and manage the company’s compliance framework during a pivotal transition, offering a unique opportunity to build the financial integrity of a newly independent company. Responsibilities include developing and overseeing a robust compliance program for financial and operational risks; payroll and treasury oversight; 401K management; audit coordination; insurance program management; policy and procedure documentation and enforcement; and cross-functional collaboration with HR, Legal, and Operations to embed compliance standards. The role reports to senior leadership, has supervisory responsibility over the accounting department, and involves local travel with potential out-of-area travel. The position emphasizes maturity, ability to work independently, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to work overtime to support critical initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (equivalent extensive professional experience considered)
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in compliance, audit, or corporate finance roles within a complex organization
- Big Four accounting or consulting firm experience highly preferred
- Experience in automotive or related manufacturing/technology industry preferred but not required
