Job Summary
Compliance Manager responsible for managing day-to-day regulatory and compliance matters, interpreting and disseminating regulatory requirements, coordinating with internal stakeholders for regulatory supervision, surveys, and regulator responses, preparing and supporting regulatory meetings, drafting and submitting regulatory reports, and providing advisory support on regulatory and privacy-by-design initiatives. Role involves implementing global/local policies, conducting compliance monitoring, delivering training, liaising with authorities, promoting data protection culture, participating in rotations, and taking on additional tasks from the Head of Compliance. Must collaborate with international stakeholders, balance judgment with flexibility, and work independently within ING’s cross-regional environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a risk or control function (e.g., compliance, legal, audit, or risk management)
- Proven experience engaging with local regulatory authorities
- Solid knowledge of local banking regulations
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
- Excellent proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Demonstrates sound judgment and accountability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
