Job Summary
Administer and manage ITAR and EAR compliance programs, categorizing products and technical data while tracking export licenses and government filings. Support cybersecurity initiatives by collaborating with IT and auditors to assess gaps for CMMC and NIST 800-171 certification, maintaining documentation for audit readiness. Oversee shipping and customs compliance for hardware and software, ensuring proper documentation for international freight and adherence to country-of-origin rules. Collaborate with Finance and operations to ensure government contract oversight, financial tracking, and internal control compliance, while developing processes to mitigate risks in projects and supply chains. Develop and maintain FOCI mitigation measures, coordinate with government agencies on national security requirements, and advise leadership on remediation strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or at least 5 years of experience related to the role
- 5+ years of compliance experience in aerospace, defense, space technology, or other highly regulated industries
- Strong knowledge of US export controls (ITAR/EAR) and government contracting regulations
- Experience with CMMC, NIST 800-171, or equivalent cybersecurity frameworks
- Familiarity with FOCI mitigation, national security, or related government requirements
- Experience working cross-functionally in operational, engineering, or technical environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to operate independently while collaborating across diverse teams
- Strong analytical, investigative, and risk-assessment skills
- Based in the Denver area or able to relocate
- US citizenship
