Job Summary
Swan seeks a Compliance Officer in Spain to serve as AMLRO, responsible for maintaining regulatory alignment across Spain. Main tasks include staying ahead of regulatory changes, owning regulatory submissions under supervision, acting as escalation point for FinCrime investigations, evaluating regulatory aspects of business use cases and new products/services, maintaining internal compliance documentation, conducting regulatory watch on Spanish banking supervision matters, and serving as primary contact for Spanish regulators (Banco de España / SEPBLAC / CNMV). Ideal candidate has +5 years in financial compliance, deep knowledge of Spanish banking regulations and payment ecosystem, proactive problem-solving, high autonomy, strong synthesis/analytical and writing skills, and is fluent in Spanish and English. Hybrid remote policy offers 2 days per week from home; located in Barcelona, Spain.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience (+5 years) in a Compliance position in a financial institution, ideally in a Fintech or another fast-paced work environment
- Excellent knowledge of Spanish banking regulations and payment ecosystem
- Fluent in Spanish & English
- Ability to take initiative and work autonomously
- Strong analytical and writing skills
