Job Summary
Own and oversee the Australian regulatory compliance framework for consumer credit, including the National Consumer Credit Protection Act and Privacy Act. Lead ASIC examinations, inquiries, and licence interactions while maintaining documented arrangements that support credit licence obligations. Maintain the regulatory obligations register, oversee root-cause analysis for breaches, and prepare reporting for executive leadership and risk governance committees. Translate global compliance strategy into local execution, partnering with Product, Legal, and Operations teams to provide practical regulatory guidance on new initiatives. Manage a junior compliance team, set performance objectives, and drive accountability across the function.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of regulatory compliance experience in an Australian regulated financial services, consumer credit, payments, or fintech environment
- Prior people management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- relevant legal, compliance, risk, governance, or financial services qualification preferred
