Job Summary
Monitor and interpret applicable laws and regulations, support implementation of compliance policies, and provide day-to-day advice to business stakeholders. Conduct investigations into potential breaches, maintain investigation logs, and prepare reports on remediation actions. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including MSAs and NDAs while identifying legal and commercial risks. Advise the People team in India on employment law matters and support corporate governance requirements for APAC, Europe, and the Middle East. Manage compliance operatives in India for third-party diligence and administrative support.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years PQE
- Understanding and exposure to corporate governance frameworks and company secretarial work
- Prior experience in a compliance role, including familiarity with compliance programmes
- Experience in drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts
- Experience in advising on India employment law requirements
- High integrity and ethical standards, and strong professional judgment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Collaborative and responsive
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Strong time management skills
- Able to work under pressure with positive working attitude and strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to help leaders within the business identify potential preventative and corrective measures to reduce risk
